Our volunteers are an essential part of everything we do at Cedar Valley Humane Society. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment help us provide the best possible care for the animals in our shelter. We are incredibly grateful for the time and energy they give to support our mission every day.

At this time, we are not accepting applications for new volunteers. Our current focus is on training and supporting our existing volunteer team to ensure everyone has the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Please Note: If you are seeking to complete court-mandated community service hours, please contact Mallory Dudley at mallory.dudley@cvhumane.org for an application and additional instructions.
Volunteer Requirements:

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer independently.

Youth ages 8–15 are welcome to volunteer when accompanied by an adult volunteer who is at least 18 years old. The adult volunteer must complete orientation and any required training alongside their minor volunteer before volunteering together.

Volunteers working directly with animals must be able to safely enter and exit animal kennels and must be able to understand and follow Cedar Valley Humane Society policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of both themselves and the animals in our care.
