Capacity: N/A

Rental Fee:Included with Auditorium Rental. Included with meeting room rental, if available.

- 5 burner stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator

- Use of all non-disposable supplies such as plates, flatware, pots, pans and serving supplies

ENTIRE FACILITY

Rental Fee:

Weekday: $75 per hour

Weekend/Holiday: $125 per hour

Amenities Include: As listed per space

REQUIREMENTS:

Spaces must be reserved 2 weeks in advance.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is due at time of contract.
Must abide by CVHS decoration, alcohol, and rental requirements.

Rental rules and requirements

Cancellations
Cedar Valley Humane Society adheres to a no-refund cancellation policy, since dates for rentals are reserved. In the event the reservation is cancelled, the reservation fee will be receipted as a donation.

Reservation Changes
To change the date of an existing reservation, the request must be made at least one month prior to the reservation date. The new reservation date must be within three months of the date of the change request. A date change can only be made by calling the Cedar Valley Humane Society at (319) 362-6288. A new reservation would need to be made to change anything other than the date or adding optional amenities.

Rental Fee & Deposit Total
cost includes a rental fee and 25% non-refundable deposit. The deposit is due when you rent the building; the remainder is due the week prior to the rental day. If any damages occur that exceed the deposit, the person signing the contract will be held responsible and will have to pay for any damages.

Check-In Time:
A Cedar Valley Humane Society employee or volunteer will plan to meet with you at your selected check-in time or make arrangement to allow access to the facility.

Checkout Time:
Plan to have facility cleaned and people departed prior to your scheduled check out time. All renters and visitors must depart the grounds by 10:00PM

Parking
Parking is confined to designated parking areas. If you anticipate more vehicles than spaces provided, please contact the Cedar Valley Humane Society in advance. No parking or driving off roadways.

Visitors
All renters and visitors must depart the Cedar Valley Humane Society grounds by 10:00PM closing time.

Refuse
The Cedar Valley Humane Society observe a “Carry In Carry Out” refuse policy. However, a limited amount of refuse will be removed by staff as part of your reservation. All refuse must be placed in the containers provided. You will need to remove any refuse in excess of the capacity of these containers to carry out with you.

Clean Up
You are required to clean up the facility and grounds and return them to the condition you received them. Plan to have your facility cleaned and people departed prior to your scheduled checkout time.

Smoking
The Cedar Valley Humane Society is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings. Designated smoking areas are marked throughout the grounds.

Directional Signs and Decorations
Temporary freestanding directional signs are allowed and not to be attached to furniture, signposts or other facilities. Decorations are allowed as long as they are free standing or not affixed in a manner that would damage a facility or any painted walls (tape, tacks and staples can cause damage to walls - the use of a no-stick adhesive is recommended).

Beer and Wine
Only beer with an alcohol content of 5% or less by weight and wine with an alcohol content of 17% or less by weight may be consumed on Cedar Valley Humane Society property. You may not drink these beverages on roads or in parking areas. Hard liquor and wine with alcohol content in excess of 17% by weight or other alcoholic liquors are NOT to be consumed on Cedar Valley Humane Society property. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cedar Valley Humane Society for any and all obligations or liability associated with any member of your group consuming alcohol, including beer and wine, at CVHS.

Music
Bands, disc jockeys and other amplified sources of sound are allowed. It is required that you work out the details for your amplified music in advance of your event with the Cedar Valley Humane Society. All sources of sound must be turned off by 10:00 PM.

Special Requests
Certain activities or items require that you request and obtain special permission from the Cedar Valley Humane Society in advance of your event. These include, but are not limited, to the following: pets on premises (excluding service animals), erection of special tents, inflatable play equipment, hog roasts, or carnival-type activities. Please contact the Cedar Valley Humane Society for additional information.
