Volunteering with the Cedar Valley Humane Society is an excellent way to make a positive difference for homeless animals.
Volunteer applications must be approved prior to attending the CVHS volunteer orientation.
Becoming a volunteer is easy!
1) Submit a Volunteer Application
A separate application must be submitted for each minor and adult volunteer.
2) Attend an Orientation Session
You will be emailed the orientation schedule once your application has been approved.
3) Attend an Animal Handling Training Session
You will sign up for this at orientation. Training sessions are usually within 1-2 weeks of orientation.
4) Make a Difference!
Volunteer orientation will be at the Hy-Vee at 3235 Oakland Road NE in Cedar Rapids. Look for the conference room between the cheese counter and the bakery at the hallway to the restrooms.
No outside food is allowed, but you may purchase something to eat at the Hy-Vee and bring it into the conference room. (Anything from an iced tea to a full evening meal!)
